Laguna gov receives Sandugo 2009 Director’s Award

Calamba (23 July) — Laguna Gov. Teresita “Ningning” S. Lazaro was conferred with the Director’s Award for being one of the Outstanding Local Government Executives in the Region IV-A during the recent Regional Sandugo Awards 2009 that was held last July 20, 2009 at One Esplanade, SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City.

The award is in recognition of Gov. Lazaro’s commanding leadership and commitment for more healthy constituents in her respective jurisdiction.

It may be recalled that Gov. Lazaro was also the recipient of the Sandugo Awards years before. Last July 27, 2005, she received the Sandugo Outstanding Local Government Executive – HALL OF FAME Award for her exceptional support and active involvement in the promotion of voluntary blood donation towards the achievement of the vision of Republic Act No. 7719 known as the National Blood Service Act of 1994. The citations were given in recognition of Gov. Lazaro’s steadfast commitment to the upliftment of the health sector in the whole province.

In her message, the Lady Governor stressed that the award is really for the people of Laguna and for her fellow public servants in the Provincial Government that have worked hard as a team in the faster delivery of better quality services, particularly in the health services sector. She reiterated that this is part of her Sulong Kalusugan at Nutrisyon program under the flagship 7-Point Agenda that her administration is currently implementing wayback in 2001 when she assumed Laguna’s top post.
