Hundreds of Filipino were dead and thousands were rendered homeless when Tropical Storm Ondoy (international codename: Ketsana) ravaged most parts of Metro Manila, especially its eastern part, and nearby regions. President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo declared the whole country under state of calamity as another super typhoon threatens to bring more devastation to the still-suffering nation.
